Dragons come in all shapes, forms, colours, and sizes. They're an interesting anomaly in that they are both bestial and intelligent. Males outnumber females so it's not unusual for a female Dragon to choose more than one male mate, though they never hoard them.
They do however hoard treasure. The more valuable the item, the more voraciously it will be attained and defended. As to the types of items they hoard, that seems to be a personal preference but woe betide any who steals from the Dragon's hoard for they have long memories.
The Dragon's arrogance is well documented, especially among the younger Dragons. Many warriors have used that either to force a mistake or to flatter the Dragon so they can escape with their lives.
