Gnomes are small humanoids, ranging from four to five feet in height though some may grow to heights taller (or shorter). Gnomish skin color depends on the particular kind of gnome, but tends to be from anywhere from a tan color to a deep olive green. Gnomish skin is wrinkled by nature and often they look rather bony. Most male Gnomes have facial hair and in many different styles. The faces of female Gnomes tend to be much fairer and more youthful looking, but not near the standards of Elves. Gnomes are rarely physically strong and often rely on tools and devices to aid them in arduous tasks.

By far the most common thing associated to Gnomes is their intelligence and ingenuity. Although often lacking in wisdom, Gnomes have a capacity for designing and creating tools and machines that may surpass even that of Dwarves. Gnomes are quite literate, often in many different languages and many gnomes can read, write and speak fluently in many different languages. Gnomes are generally conceived to be clever and witty, often using this wit to think up new inventions, creations and practical jokes. Gnomes are dexterous and indeed their work is often performed at incredible speed, as their minds and bodies seem to be able to work in rapid cohesion. Gnomes are often known for their sense of humor and their passion for practical jokes. Much unlike their Dwarven cousins, Gnomish work often portrays the ridiculous and they often invent rather useless things that may appear useless, but is apparently important to the gnome that created it. Gnomes are fun-loving loving and light-hearted, often taking many breaks and coming up with holidays they wish. They often lack in seriousness and it is hard to make a Gnome take you seriously for life isn't supposed to be serious.

Gnomes avoid war and violence because of hostility it brings and they are generally a peaceful peaceful race, though they have known to build weapons of war in dire circumstances. Gnomes prefer to live in the hills and underground where their work can go in secret and undistracted from anything that may happen above ground.
